Basic Zero Build Order

In Star craft 2, just as in the original Star craft as well as the Brood Wars expansion pack, the critical component for winning matches is something that is commonly called a build order. With their hive mind, the Zero’s are an alien race of insects and an opportunist’s most important player. In order to win the matches as Zero, it will be necessary for you to focus on the build order of your Zero by producing units just as fast as possible, then rushing your opponent in order to destroy their intake of resources. This article will cover a basic strategy that is based on having the simple Zerglings rush as a start, and then it will address the other components for game play.

You will want to start by making sure that you max out your drones as well as morph an overlord in order to increase the capabilities of your infantry. Build an additional three more drones, then an extractor followed by a spawning pool. You will need to continue building drones, including a Queen. With the idea being that you need to keep gaining resources exponentially.

Once you have sufficient vulpine gas, you can buy a speed upgrade for the spawning pool, providing a way to defend yourself with Spine Crawlers or Bane lings in the event of an attack. If you happen to be more familiar with items in the original Star craft, the Spine Crawlers have replaced the SC@ for a typical Zero defense for Sunken Colonies. You can experiment with the Spine Crawlers and Bane lings in order to see which you prefer. At this time, you should have a minimum of 20 drones harvesting both minerals and gas. At this time, it is a good idea for you to start sending out overlords in every direction in order to find where your enemy’s bases are, given the fact that you can not attack when they do. You will also want to put the Spawn Larva in your Hatchery to allow for Zerglings speed upgrades.

Now, the most important necessity at this time is to build your army consisting of Zerglings as well as Overlords in order to supply them. Once you have enough of these, attack your enemy, focus on your enemy’s workers (SCV for Terrain, probes for Protons, and drones for Zero.) Once you have effectively cut off all of their resources, you will be able to finish them off however you see fit.

Star craft Brood war Strategies

Basically Brood Wars is set around about the early part of the twenty-sixth century in Chris Mitten’s Star craft universe. From earth, the Terrain exiles have colonized a far off area of the Milky Way known as the Copula Sector, and have in fact established several governments already. As all good things must come to an end, the land is eventually the central point of immense civil war, which ultimately ends with the formation of the Terrain Dominion. Soon after, humanity again takes a nose dive with clashes between the Protons and the Zero populations, and towards the end of the Star craft release, this war ends in the death of the Zero leader, the Over mind. He dies on the Protons home world of Air.

Due to the untimely death of the Over mind, there is nobody to command the Zero population and they mindlessly rampage across this Protons home world, whilst the cerebrates attempt to regain some sort of control. The cerebrates are the secondary commanders of the Swarm. It doesn’t take long to discover that there is in fact alien life in a sector known as Copula, and so the UED (United Earth Directorate), the international agency that controls Earth, makes a decision to send an expeditionary force to see if they can secure the Copula sector and prevent the alien inhabitants from finding Earth. Two days after the end of Star craft, the Brood War commences.

Because there are different races with different abilities, strengths and weaknesses, there are also many different strategies that can be considered in the Star craft world. Every strategy has a counter strategy, so depending on what race you are playing, and what race you are playing against, will somewhat determine the best strategies for you to play. There are of course some general strategies, and it is always a good idea to take a look at these to master them before tackling other more advanced Star craft Brood war strategies.

One of the best rated and widely reported strategies is the Drop strategy. This strategy can be used with any of the races. This is a strategy where someone transports one or more deadly units into the side or back of a base, and if completed correctly the deadly unit can kill all of the enemy workers inside the base. Not only may the workers be eliminated, but the opponent could be wiped out completely, as you will see in many Star craft Brood war strategies guides. Spend some time going over the guide that you have, and you can follow any of the many master pros around the world to see if this or other strategies could be right for you.

How to Find Good Star craft II Strategies

Star craft II is one of the most popular computer games of all time, having been around since 1998 and capable of running on both PCs and Macs. Millions of people around the world play it, and whether you are new to the game or have been playing it for years, checking out some Star craft II strategies can really enhance your enjoyment of the game.

Don’t let the word “strategies” scare you, and don’t even think that a “cheat” is a bad thing. The designers of video games have built in certain hurdles that simply can’t be breached without knowing the reasons why they programmed them, and by using Star craft II strategies, you aren’t cheating – you are simply joining in the mysterious fun of gaming.

If you walk into your local bookstore and look for books about Star craft II strategies, you will find one or two, but by the time they get to your bookstore, they are totally out of date. The game changes so quickly, as do all video games, that you may be looking at strategies and cheats that no longer work. The only real place to find strategies and cheats is online.

You can usually find these strategies in one of two forms – either as an e-book, or in the form of a subscription to a website. Either of these is preferable to buying a bound book in a bookstore, because the information can be updated or changed as soon as the game designers update their game. In addition, a subscription website will usually allow some sort of interaction between other people who are using the strategies, so that people can trade information, hints, and tips. This is great not only for the expert gamers, but also for the people who are new to Star craft II or gaming in general.

Using Creeps to Unleash Hell Is the Key to Zero Strategy

Zero Strategy using Creeps in Star craft 2 plays a crucial role that unleashes spot on terror of the alien swarm. Zero units gain multiple benefits from creeping that can aid in almost any situation, which is why formidable Zero players often leave their maps colored in signature purple.

With a lot more micro-play in Star craft 2, players may forget to spawn creep tumors in important locations or not enough of it to reap its supporting features. In high level plays, proper creep spreading is essential. Let’s remind ourselves why Creep is a powerful catalyst to your Zero legion.

The most noticeable feature is the speed bonuses given to your ground units (except drones!). Zerglings are the fastest units in the game, but on creep they gravely outrun any other units including the speedy hellions. Some mobility, such as of Zero queens and spine crawlers, are extremely sluggish without creep and would appreciate if you expanded their domain some more. Creep will significantly multiply speed for any ground mobility action, be it for a raid, to defend a base, or to rendezvous your force at a tactical location. The speed will allow you to charge in your enemies to do damage quickly before dying, making your units worth more for its resources per damage done. In essence, speed is the idiosyncratic bloodline of the Zero. Have multiple queens especially in the early game ready to spawn creep tumors approximately every 15-30 seconds starting from your base and proliferate pathways to either your expansions for defensive purposes or towards the map center for map control.

Once you establish highways of creep, you’ll also benefit from the vision it provides. This means you don’t have to sacrifice your overlords to gain total map vision. Creeps once completely spawned can only be revealed by detection abilities. One tumor covers a large area with creep and vision, and can duplicate itself once by your command, at no cost of resources. Overlords although are mobile in air is more costly to lose: they can be easily spotted. Losing one can possibly supply-block your unit count. Having vision at the center of the map eliminates a lot of guessing. When possible try to spread your creep towards Axel-Naga watch towers. You’ll be able to seize the towers quickly with Zerglings and retreat from it easily when needed.
