Cooking Games Are Worth Your Time

If you feel that playing cooking games aren’t worth your while, you’d be surprised. While they may look quirky to watch, these games get to offer a number of benefits that you can actually apply in real life situations.

First is the development of hand-eye coordination. Since cooking games need you to make quick and small movements to get the desired result, regular playing can actually help improve your hand-eye coordination. By doing this, you’ll have better reflexes that can help you catch a spilling drink or prevent a plate filled with food from falling off somebody else’s hands.

Second, these games can teach you how to plan and strategize. How? Well, studies have shown that these games help build the skill centers of your brain. Constant playing allows your brain to think faster and process information since if you don’t, you won’t be able to advance and finish the game. By doing this regularly, you’ll be able to sharpen your brain, enabling you to stay strong mentally.

Third, playing these games gives you a basic idea of how to prepare and cook food. Depending on the game you’re playing this could be as simple as frying as hotdog or preparing a full-course meal. Bottom line, regular playing helps prep you for a life wherein you’re bound to cook not just for your own survival but for other people as well.

3 Ways to Maximize Your Gambling Forum Experience

Online gambling is not only fun, it provides an opportunity to make some extra cash. And whether you’re brand new to the world of Web gambling or have been a gamer for quite some time, gambling forums can be useful. Probably one of the greatest advantages of online gambling are you can gamble without the amount of pressure that’s usually at a Las Vegas or Singapore casino table! You can take time to learn all about gambling before getting your feet wet. You can also take it slowly and start with very little risk.

Gambling forums are great for beginners as well as avid gamers. Here are three ways to maximize your experience.

1. Take Your Time

Before leaping into a conversation at any gambling forum, take a week or two to observe how the forum operates and the type of users there. Make sure the forum covers the topics you’d like to discuss. Some are dedicated to a particular type of gambling, such as poker, roulette or blackjack. Others cover an array of topics and appeal to all types of gamers. You might find it to be the right forum for you…or you might decide to try the next one instead!

2. Avoid Self-Promotion

If you own a business (whether related to gambling or not), try to avoid self-promotion when posting to forums. Its okay to offer free advice and then to include a link to your site at the conclusion of your tips; however, don’t post blatant ads into the forums. You’ll likely be kicked off the forum permanently and/or users will lose confidence in your postings. A good rule of thumb is to include any links as a “by the way” or a “resource box” only.

3. Build Relationships

Whether for business or pleasure, gambling forums provide a great medium for building relationships. You can find friends and mentors for life if you frequent reputable forums. Some are avid gamers who can give valuable advice to help you improve your gaming experience. Others are beginners seeking friendship of those with similar passions. Stick with one or two gambling forums so you can build relationships with those users. In doing so, you’ll be exposed to many great resources and trustworthy gambling tips.

Top 5 Xbox 360 Game Releases For 2010

In this article, we reveal 5 of the most popular and anticipated Xbox 360 game releases for the year 2010. Several of these titles are not yet released at the time of this writing, so they will have their release dates published here. Judging from some of these titles, Christmas 2010 should be a LOT of fun!

1. Halo Reach-Players experience the story of the legendary “Noble Team”, a brave squad of Spartan soldiers making their last stand against the dreaded Covenant on the planet “Reach”. This game feature’s both awesome campaign play and an incredible multiplayer experience. I look forward to this game because of the 4 player cooperative campaign play; too many games neglect the coop experience anymore in my opinion. There is a reason this series is so popular, trust me.

2. Call of Duty: Black Ops-Release Nov. 9th, 2010. Number 7 in the Call of Duty series, this title features game play ranging from snowy mountaintop Russian strongholds to the jungles of Vietnam. Once again looking forward to more online co-op play, not to new multiplayer features like air combat and the SR-71 Blackbird! Also new weapons including sited bows with explosive tipped arrows! Are you drooling yet?

3. FIFA Soccer 11- (Also for PlayStation 3) If you love console sports gaming, you’ll want to play this game! The highest rated sports game ever for both PS3 and Xbox 360. Features include: Personality+ which mirrors abilities of imported players. Over 15, 000 players represented on the in-game roster, and customization features which are too numerous to explain in one article. Lot’s of replay value in this game.

4. Dead Rising 2- Who doesn’t love killing puss filled zombies? Survival horror is truly my favorite genre of video game. Lots of crazy new characters (surprise, surprise) in this one; starting out as Chuck Greene-former motocross champion. This new title features include: new weapons, weapon creation capabilities, 2 player coop, and 4 player online multiplayer. Also has a downloadable prologue Case Zero, with content not available in the original retail version of Dead Rising 2. You’ll find 72 hours can be a very long time when trying to survive a zombie onslaught!

Why This Autumn Is a Great Time for Gamers

If you’re even remotely into video games, you might have noticed by now that there is one particular time in the year when most (or at least a lot) of the best new games come out. This time is always around October and November (some might call it autumn of fall) and this year is no different.

The reason why so many amazing video games are released at this time of the year is because it’s right in the run up to Christmas, so it has been proven to be the most profitable time for games companies and publishers.

So what games can we expect to grace our shelves this year? First of all, there’s the long awaited Gran Truism 5 (for the PS3). If you’ve never had the chance to play a Gran Truism game, the series has been described by gamers and journalists alike that it is the ‘most realistic driving experience ever’.

Also coming out is Call of Duty: Black Ops. The yearly Call of Duty (commonly referred to as ‘COD’) release has almost instantaneously become a major event in the entertainment world’s calendar (especially since the stellar success of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 in 2009). This game looks set to be every bit as good as its predecessor, and offers a ton of new features, weapons, kill streaks and more to play around with. If you’ve never played a COD game before (especially online), you really are missing out, since nothing comes close to adrenaline pumping, full throttle fun!

The PS3 Is Here to Stay

Have you ever found yourself wondering, “what if I could have a device that could handle my digital photos, music, DVD/Blue-ray, and have it connect to my HDTV”? Even if you have never played a video game your best bet for a state-of-the-art media center may be a Sony Play station 3. Let’s review the different facets of the PS3 as a Media Center.

Let’s start with the most convenient, easy -to-use feature of Sony’s latest gaming console, the Blue-ray player. Sony has rightly argued since the release of the Blue-Ray enabled PS3 that it was a bargain despite its 400$ price tag. It’s true; the PS3 matches most entry level to mid range Blue-ray players in features and price. You can purchase a handy blue tooth remote for operation and navigation (or use a typical PS3 gaming controller but at first this feels kind of clunky) and you have everything you need to watch the highest quality home movies.

The PS3 allows you to upload and store photo files via the USB port. There are some easy to use slideshow options. You may find that it’s a lot easier to use the Media Link option that we just talked about above. It’s really great to cue up a slide show of photos on your laptop while using the media link through the PS3. It allows you to take advantage of your high-definition screen instead of trying to gather a bunch of people around a smaller computer screen.

You have always been able to play or copy cads and music files onto the PS3 (which is probably connected to some sort of speaker system and centrally located in your dwelling). As mentioned above you can bypass this step by directly linking a computer to your system, if that is where you store your music files. Recently Sony has announced another option.

For about a year, Netflix has been offering direct, on demand streaming video from its “play now” library. This gives you another great way to use your media center for movies (Netflix also offers Blue-ray movies for most new releases, an additional three dollars a month charge applies though).

Sony, like everyone else, wants a piece of the direct to home delivered media these days. So it’s no surprise to find games, movies and other content available for purchase and download. The surprising part is how easy it is and how nice the interface is. Simply log into the Play station store, browse, preview and purchase. Moments later you have the content on your PS3 and it’s ready to go.
